To be a Latin American leadership to promote a qualified discussion on human, animal and environmental health, in the light of the knowledge of Toxicological and Experimental Pathology (TE&P) , using an interdisciplinary and multiprofessional scientific approach. Actively seek interactions with related scientific and national associations and organizations, as well as with government or corporate institutions, in order to fulfill its mission.

Objectives | LASTEP will seek to be recognized as an authorized resource by legislative decision makers, national and regional regulators, and by Latin American society in general, as an Association capable of helping in the assessment of danger, in the analysis of risk and in the study of different forms of exposure of humans, animals and the environment to chemical substances.

Education | LASTEP will seek to be a regional leader in providing educational resources and career development in Toxicological and Experimental Pathology (TE&P) to its active members, organizations related to our area of ​​knowledge, and "stakeholders". To this end, LASTEP will promote courses, workshops, congresses (national and international), among other ways of disseminating knowledge, aiming at increasingly qualifying our active members.

Regional and global objectives and actions | LASTEP is committed to generating quality human resources, with a broad scientific vision and focus on the areas of Toxicological and Experimental Pathology (TE&P) . Our active members will be from different university backgrounds (biomedical, medical, pharmacist, veterinarian, biologist, among others) and will act as Toxicological Pathologists or Experimental Pathologists capable of actively participating, always in a critical way, in regulatory and health issues, regional and with presence, influence and impact.

Recruitment objective | LASTEP will work to expand its base of active members in order to ensure an adequate supply of trained professionals in the areas of Toxicological and Experimental Pathology (TE&P), with an emphasis on hazard assessment and chemical risk analysis.
